Even if you are new to the surfing game, chances are that you have heard of Kelly Slater. Six-time world champion, former Pam Anderson Lee Rock's love-slave, one of People Magazine's Most Beautiful People, and guitarist for "The Surfers", Slater has broken the mold of the archetypical professional surfer.

The "confines" of the pro tour contests were transcended early on, and Kelly moved his act to the world media arena. While the magnitude of his success couldn't have been predicted, it was obvious that the little kid from the surf-starved beaches of Cocoa Beach, Florida was destined for greatness. Intensive tutelage from some East Coast legends and extensive travelling turned his raw talent into something inhuman. Now with a biography on the market and a videogame in his likeness, it is difficult to say what's next.
